In the blink of an eye, another year has passed.

Hop in to my car, and I shall take you on a journey of what 2011 has meant to me.

OK 2011, how should i start?

With the end of a-levels, it meant a whole new beginning. Time to choose a course and get stuck with it for another 40 years OHMAIGAWT*hangsmyself*
Well, not that bad lah.

Even though in the eyes of many, it may have seemed like I wasted the first 9 months of the year *but diedie also cannot admit they are right* I felt like I have grew quite a bit this year ~~obviously bcoz getting older~~. My experience with the university applications actually helped me a lot, in realising what I wanted in life, and how to handle my future.

As some of you may know, I was called for the medicine interview at NUS early this year, even though my application had the words FIRST CHOICE: PHARMACY on the top. y u no want to give me pharmacy? T.T But it was all thanks to my itchy fingers also la, thought I could include medicine in my application. Maybe because some part of me at the end of 2010 actually believed that I could do medicine. ~~Thank you Jingyi for also tempting me with free toilet washes.~~

And then because I was so kiasi, I had to research out every aspect of the career - the advantage, disadvantage, job scope, what the ppl in the industry think about their jobs etc. Forgot to mention how I also applied for USM and maxed out the second choice third choice fourth choice columns. *extra kiasu points*

The thing is, with each and every small step I took along the way, I got a better idea of what I wanted. And through the experiences, I learned quite a number of things. When to stand up, when to let go and even when to say "i don't know".

To look back and think about the days and times like how I applied for chemical engineering just for the jpa/petronas scholarship, i smack my own forehead. And somehow right now, even if it means I have to eat half rice with kuah for the next 4 years, I am smiling that I didn't get it then.

Each and every step, with mistakes included, lead me to my path today. But i'm proud and extremely happy with it. Wouldn't change it for anything else.

All I can say is that, i'm really grateful that I went on this path. Thank you to all of you who have helped, supported, and believed in me throughout the year. Really grateful for all the friends around me. Thank you for being in my 2011! :)

Annd with that, i'd like to say hello twentytwelve. ~~I am in the middle of building a spaceship in case doomsday is near.~~ May this be the beginning of many amazing things! Happy New Year!

Orientation week is done with.

After going through so many emails and calls, i finally got all three of my offer letters printed for me properly, and my new student card. Like super bangga now of my efficiency (Read: MY efficiency). *hops to gsc for student rate* :D

On the bottom of the offer letters, they actually state the tuition fee for the four years. -which is not in the picture so that nobody faints.

SP-PENANG 2/6/2011-5/6/2011

Day 1 - Sungai Petani

We arrived safely in SP, before 5pm on a thursday afternoon. There, we stayed at Vnootheni's house (refer to missing friend blogpost) for the night. She brought us around for a tour of SP in her car, and then to a park, and a mall at night. We were also supposed to go for a night movie, but the cinemas were closed ~~because adelyn have already watched kungfu panda 2~~. =P

The park in SP is like super cool. They have eagles, and deers, and rabbits, and chickens, and flowers and trees and.....a playground. In short, it was a very nice place.

Day 2- The wedding, then off to Penang!

I guess i forgot to mention, one of the main purpose of having this SP trip on that particular weekend was so that we could attend our classmate's sister's wedding. So that morning, Vnoo's mum very kindly prepared breakfast for us and then off we were to Dewan Lip Seang Kor- where the wedding is! We, the sesat people who don't know anything about indian weddings- like what to wear, what to bring, what to give...and so with vnoo's guidance, we all contributed to this little "angpau" that said...... *drumrolls*........... "From indra's friends." LOL *smacks forehead*

and then in penang,
First meal was in the coffee shop beside song river, along gurney drive, where i had loh mee. Later, we took a cab up to batu ferringhi.

This ride is known as the storm which was supposedly a non wet right. However, the next time someone tells u that, please do me a favour and punch him in the face. We were SOAKING WET after the ride. But it was fun ~~despite almost flying off~~.

Day 3- Bukit Bendera, Kek Lok Si, Fort Cornwallis and free CAT shuttle!

Day 4- Pulau Tikus market for breakfast, Sleeping buddha temple, and Dhammikarama temple

One last epic moment to share...

This was on the way to SP, somewhere in Perak if i'm not mistaken when somebody asked:

I can't believe James Durbin is out.

Andd, it was the same week Chris Daughtry got eliminated ~~on that season they let Taylor Hicks win instead~~. Gosh America, what are you doing?

The thing about James, is that when I first heard him, he really reminded me of Adam Lambert. But as he progressed on during the show, this guy really shined, and I can say each of his performances were extremely entertaining as compared to the rest of the ~~boring~~ contestants.

One of his best performances in my opinion, would be the week he sang Muse's Uprising.

Apparently, Muse’s Matt Bellamy sent James an email challenging him to sing that last chorus up the octave— which he did!

Anyway, here's 2 weeks ago, when he sang Harry Nilson- Without you.

My mum, was sesat-ing in the thought that my sister intended to say NTU (Nanyang Technological University) but got the letters mixed up. But truly, she was just spelling out the word "nuts", which by definition means this :

Pangkor, March 2011

I'm back from Pangkor! ..with lots of pictures.

So I'm just going to share some with you guys, and we'll consider it an update :)

Alright. Here's where I stayed.

Coral Bay Resort.

I'd only recommend it to you if you are going in small groups, taking rooms for two or three. If you are planning on renting their apartment or penthouse, FORGET IT, I suggest you look for another place.

Pangkor island is not a very big one. You can ask for a tour from any of the taxi drivers in their PINK VANS (spot them in the pics above).

RM80 for two hours with four attractions and that's basically the whole of pangkor. I'm not kidding. ~~It is that boring.~~

So the first attraction is the Kuan Yin Temple. The place was pretty. I cannot remember if they called it teluk nipah or coral beach but the ~~"whatever"~~ beach around the temple was soooo nice. The water was clear enough that you could see fishes. AND They had a sea slide!

Unfortunately, we could not stay there long, as Uncle Taxi was waiting with our 2 hour limit. So we moved on to the second destination which was.....*jeng jeng jeng* the Kilang Ikan Satay. All they did was put a lot of samples, and then *poof* my mum walked out with a bigg bag of food.

Then we went to the Foo Lin Kong Temple, where there was a mini great wall of china...and LOTS of steps.

And that's sort of the end of Pangkor!

Egg tarts review

Yesterday, I made egg tarts, using the recipe my cousin ~~copy straight from allrecipe.com for me~~ gave me.

For my first try, it was rather good i would say.

I was impressed.

Firstly, because only 2 out of 15 had signs of some burn marks.

and then none of them cracked in the middle and stuff like that.

So overall it looked VERY EDIBLE

*Big loud applause*

Taste wise..

The first mouth was awesome.

and it stuck to my main criteria of "MORE EGGS Less crust"

egg to crust ratio?

The crust in terms of texture, was better than i expected. Because, I saw some reviews for this specific recipe that mentioned the crust was like a flat tasting "sugar cookie" and unlike those puffy, flaky ones with crumbs and whatever you call them. But mine actually did have some flakes to it and crumbs were falling as you bite. In fact, They were rather "brittle", just slight pressure would break the crust.

But then, after that, i realised, some of them had a sourish-or-salty-i-cannot-really-differentiate-it-but-i-think-it-is-sour-more-than-salty kind of taste in the crust on a few of the tarts. Maybe the ingredient went wrong somewhere. Is it because i used salted butter? or isit the egg? or what? What happened, SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME...NOW!!
Then again, my mum says she doesn't feel anything wrong with the crust. so i'm confused.

BUT ANYWAY.
It can be improved. next time perhaps.

This is the time of the year where people tend to sit down in front of their computers, posting up a little summary of what they have been up to throughout the year.

I sat down as well, reflecting how 2010 was like for me.

It kind of scared me when the first thing that came to my mind was,

"cambridge a-levels"

But then i realised, that's right, The end of 2010 also marks the end of a-levels.

Therefore, I'm gonna be slightly different this time around, I'm not going to tell you how 2010 was, but instead i'm going to make this about college, about a-levels, in this one and a half years.

Do you remember the time when I was like

"utar? no, wait, segi...no no...stamford"

But on just one AMAZING morning I decided to visit KDU. And on that very fine morning, I also decided to text ying jee to ask if she had enrolled in a college yet. I asked if she wanted to pay a visit to KDU.

She was interested in business foundation then.

And I on the other hand was torn between 90% scholarship at segi or full tuition fee waiver at stamford for a-levels.

Her parents drove us there, and we spoke to this counsellor ~~(for the record, he cheated me then disappeared~~). And POOF I don't know what happened, but we within a week or two, we both ended up in KDU doing a levels.

Do I regret?

KDU's tagline is People Inspire People. To be perfectly honest, in my first semester, I was rather impressed/stressed by my classmates. I've never found such a big bunch of people so bright, that being with them, you actually feel small, you would feel below average. OKAY FINE I admit, I'm a little kiasu. But I was brought up in a way that throughout my school life, academically I had to maintain in the top 10. Then when you look around the class and think of trying to count how many people there seems smarter than you, 1..2...3....4....5.............10....12.....14.....16........18....*faints* Lesson learnt: Don't count

The thing is, these people, they were not just smart, but they were also very nice people with big bright futures. I think they would all go very far in life :)

I may not be able to cover everyone but here are a few who are closer to me, we usually sit together, make stupid jokes and laugh while the whole world stares at us in weirdness.

On the left, there's Ying Jee (the one holding the camera). I knew her since standard 5, when I transferred to taman sea. We sat together in Form 2. We had quite a lot in common at that time, couldn't swim, couldn't cycle, no tuition. We went to James place for swimming together. Then we were in the same class again in form 4, then form 5. Then, College. I remembered my cousin once pointed out, that Ying Jee looks like a model. Want to see her pose?

Then there's Jingyi (the one posing in the we-did-not-take-this-in-a-toilet pictue). Jingyi, as a student, she's extremely hardworking and intelligent (read: never compare yourself to her, i'm not kidding). On normal college days you will see her like this:

BUT when you give her cheese,

she will only look at the cheese and not you. easily bribed.

Among all, I think that Jingyi has actually taught me a lot. Even beyond studies. The funny thing is that, Jingyi normally teaches MANY people a lot. I'm not sure how many times i have heard the phrase "ask jingyi". She's basically abnormally smart, einstein quality. Personally, I think she deserves a scholarship HELLO JPA WHERE ARE YOU? She also has her goals very clearly laid out in front of her, I think I can still hear her voice in my head going "Go Manipal".

Then there's Kelly, who has six (read one more time: SIX) wives. Let me show you.

Handsdown, she is Mr George's favourite student. Occasionally after studying she gets crazy (cuckoo) and hyper. Her favourite phrase is "I'm short and fat". GOSH, NOW I FEEL I'M OBESE.

Then there's Vnootheni. A very cheerful girl, happy-go-lucky kind, but together I realised we are capable of complaining a lot. She's one of my closest indian friend I guess.

Jingyi and I, we basically depend on Vnoo to get our timetable correctly. There was once when Vnoo was absent for college, Jingyi and I sat in the cafe throughout the whole first period of mechanics (1 hour wasted) because we THOUGHT it was break time.

Last but not least, Jane and Soo Qing. They are also part of the family, Kelly's 4th and 5th wife.

Soo Qing is the louder one (amplifier). If you look through my facebook, you would have seen that I recently have posted up a video of her birthday celebration . In that video, I emphasised on her laughter, because if there's one thing i would not forget about Soo Qing, it would be the sound of her laughing.

Jane on the other hand, is much softer. Small, sweet, easily bullied (especially by soo qing). Soo Qing goes "Jane jane...." and then Jane will usually be ok with anything.

A-Levels on the whole was not easy. You're in college from morning until evening, and when you get home, all you feel like doing is "NOTHING". But you have to force yourself to study, force your half closed eyes to open. And it really takes proper time management to survive.

However, each time I want to complain, I realised I was the greedy one. The fact is, I asked for it. My kiasu-ness told me to go for 4 subjects instead of three. While Ying Jee was busy enjoying her life with 3 subjects, I was on the other side telling myself "GO FINISH Mr Loo's physics homework NOW".

But I really learnt a lot in the past one and a half years, and there were so many memories with the classmates:

Recently, I went for the Student exploratory workshop (SEW) organised by IMU. It was held on the 8th and 9th of Dec. I managed to pull this two girls to go with me :D

Vnoo and Jingyi :D

Oh, Zhuo Li was there too. But then they separated us after that. Names beginning with letters A-K in one group, and then names from L-Z in the other group.

Which meant....bye bye Lee Jingyi and Vnootheni :(

I was like NOOOOOO!! *WORLD CRASHES IN FRONT OF ME*

okay maybe not that dramatic.

Anyway, we did many activities. It sort of covered ALL the courses offered by IMU. Medicine, Pharmacy, Chiropractic, Nursing, Dentistry, Psychology, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Biomedical science etc.

For my group, we started with chiropractic. In groups of 3, we were asked to press each others back (to feel the backbone). Overall, I was rather impressed with the chiropractic program.

If i'm not mistaken , that's how i met Alicia and Anderson. Two people who I touched their backs before knowing their names. Tsk tsk.

That was part of the nursing programme. We also learnt how to do CPR. However, my patient suffered a miserable death. Tragic story. Lesson: don't collapse in front of Adelyn, it is pointless.

In dentistry, we did this. [The yellow parts are actually plasticine, but it was supposed to represent the dental fillings]

I didn't even know how a filling was supposed to look like. However, I won a prize for having the most nicely filled tooth! *applauds my hidden talent* miracle happens i guess? Unfortunately, the prize giving picture is missing. ~~must be vnoo and jingyi's work~~

As for the rest of the programme, it was so-so only. So i'm just going to save us some time and skip that part.

Oh, I also met Huey Yong there in IMU. After about 9 years, She's still so Huey Yong! I forgot to take picture, but, she pretty much looks the same. Quite amazing.

Day One- Orchard road and singapore river

Orchard road is a road filled with ~~orchards~~ shopping malls. All the malls are beside each other. So after you are done with one, you can go to the next one, and then the next, and next and next and next next...I lost count on how many there were.

Singapore at night, can be really lively, especially around clarke quay. We took the river cruise from there. The amount of lights everywhere, was just beautiful.

Then randomly, on the streets of geylang, there was this hotel:

I do not want to know what's really behind the name. (No, I did not stay there.) However, the hotel in which I was staying in, was pretty much a small one as well. It takes only 5 steps from the door to the other end of the room.

Day 2- Chinatown and Singapore zoo

Chinatown is a place to go, when you are looking for good bargains and getting souveneirs. Around the area, there's also a few temples and a huge food court.

Singapore Zoo is also a good place to visit. I went for the night safari as well but my suggestion for you the next time you're there is to only go for the zoo. The night safari has a number of nocturnal animals but I suppose you'd need to eat MORE CARROTS before you go there. Otherwise, you'll only enjoy plain darkness.

Among all the animals, I thought this monkey had a pretty nice butt. no?

Lets not get carried away. Point is, The monkey wins.

Day 3- Sentosa

Lets begin with the merlion. When you go to Singapore, there's no way you can run away from the merlion. It's basically Singapore's mascot.

We also went on Sentosa's Luge Ride. You basically go down the hill, gravity based (without an accelerator), and the only thing that stops you is a pull brake (you know: you pull, it brakes). After you reach the bottom, the skyride takes you back up to where you started.

Other activities include a visit to Sentosa's 4D magix, sentosa cineblast, Desperados, Underwater world & dolphin lagoon.

Side note to Shaun Lim! Remember my genius futuristic plan, when i asked you to build a shopping mall with a travellator? There's a travellator in underwater world, and it is exactly how I wanted it in the mall (Look at the picture above) Left side moving, right side stationary concrete ground! Time to start building, Malaysia is losing out!

Something which was definetely worth the money is Songs of The Sea aka musical fountain, also in sentosa. This is something to give you a rough idea what it is like, but, you should definitely go for this if you are in Sentosa!

Day 4- Marina Bay Sands, and Sands Sky park.

There's a park at the very top of the building, known as the sky park. From there, you basically have good breeze and a very good view of singapore. There's also a swimming pool on the top together with a small garden.

On the 23rd of November, I went to Genting with my ~~smurf~~ Blue Intake friends.

Well i wanted to show some pictures of the trip, but it would basically mean uploading the same pictures as what is already on facebook, so I decided, you should just click here and it would take you to Jingyi's blog post about the trip. It is pretty much sufficient and has funny captions to pictures.

Life is easy, kan? :P

About the trip, It was good as we managed to spend time together- one of our last bonding moments before everyone goes off in their own direction after this. The 12 of us took a bus up from 1Utama, and then the cable car from the lowest station. 13 of us spending the night in two rooms, ~~fighting for the washroom.~~ We played Barbie UNO (oh don't bother squinting your eyes for that small word before UNO) in the room and took photos almost everywhere. In the cable car on the way down, we were waving frantically at all the passing cable cars. and each time we got a response (whether from a young kid or an old man), we would get so excited and then wave somemore- Such ~~attention deprived students~~ Friendly Malaysians we are :)

Moving on to these few days, I attended an IELTS workshop in Subang. 4 days there. The first day, I was supposed to take a cab to sunway pyramid (which is supposedly super near) after class but this indian taxi driver wanted to charge me RM 10 flat price. My jaw dropped. RM10?!!

The next day I drove there and parked in this Car park managed by a bunch of indians. It was fine initially, I got nice parking space and all, but when i exit, he said RM8. My jaw dropped again.

When I went earlier today and got a parking space by the road side today, it costed less than RM2. -.-

But that's not the important part, right? The classes were okay i guess, they gave us a lot of materials and stuff. And today (which is also the last day), we were divided into groups to do a "presentation". The lady made sure she separated us; like all of you who sit together will definitely not be grouped together (Say bye bye to Jane and Queen). I met some new people BUT you know how good I am with names..
Note: Always give your children simple names that are preferably short and simple. Like Peter, and Jane.

First Impression

This morning, my mum's car got hit from the back at a junction in SS2.

I heard a bang, felt the impact, and when i looked out of the window, I saw pieces of our car's backlight on the road.

It was pretty bad.

So we pulled over at one of the inside roads, and out came a male driver in his early 20s.

Well, I honestly didn't really know what to do. My job was to take pictures of his car, and save his number. Then when he willingly gave us his IC for us to take down his details, "girl, take a piece of paper and write down his details" . That was about it.

Most of the time, I was still in my own little world like:

From his IC, he was 22. From what he was wearing, he looked like he was going to work. When he took out his Iphone and dialled a number, his first 2 words were "Hey Bro".

It's like you can figure a person out that easily.

Let me ask you, if you were a 22 year old guy, had an iphone* (important point), called your friend when you got involved in an accident, plus it's your first accident, what would you do next?

mm hmmm...

TELL THE WHOLE WORLD LAH OF COURSE.

So...just now, i had this LIGHTBULB above my head and some ideas.

I was doing my Biology Paper 5 past year questions, when I suddenly I haven't posted up the cambridge's marking scheme answer to my fish testes question the other day- the one which said "Suggest a procedure by which the relative size of the testes of fish might be estimated"

So here's what the marking scheme say:

3 of:

ref. to weighing / finding mass of the fish;

ref. to suitable method of measuring testis e.g. mass / volume / length;

ref to suitable units for chosen method e.g. g / kg / cm

ref. to a sample of 3 or more and taking a mean;

ref. to proportion calculated by, mass / volume / length testis divided by

mass of body;

Hence you see, even with some funny answer, I still might have scored 2 marks. *ting ting ting ting(hits the jackpot alarm)* One for measuring length of testes, one more for repeating and taking the mean. MUAHAHAHA.

Well you see, In November 09, there was an exam question set by Cambridge for the A levels Biology students taking paper 51. Here is what they asked:

Answer: CUT it off and use vernier callipers to measure diameter. Repeat measurements across different sections. Take average by calculating the mean.

This whole fish testes story started right before bio trials, when I was with my classmates, discussing on what may come out for the exam. One of them said that it is probably the November 09 paper. So the next question in mind would be: what’s going to be asked in that paper?

Yes, In paper 51, question 3 asks about the fish testes.
Jingyi gave the biggest reaction “harrr? Fish got testis???”

-Well, now we know they do.

So we all got to the part where we knew that obviously, since the testis is not outside, it is inside the fish. Santhana then told us about the mouth brooders- the female lays the eggs while the male fish uses his mouth to protect and incubate the eggs. It's like he "makan" (but not swallow) the eggs and the eggs stays inside until they hatch. Jingyi again went, "so the sperm comes out from the top (mouth) or bottom (butt)?" when she was imagining the eggs being fertilised in the mouth. With Jingyi's imagination, I'd laugh non-stop for the whole day. It's AWESOME, trust me.

Honestly, I'd like to know, what would happen if we go to the market, walk up to the fishmonger and say, "kak, bagi dua 'testes' ikan". Jom lets go.

Just a quick catch up on a few stuff i did for the past few weeks:

About 2 weeks ago ~~or at least i think it was 2 weeks ago,~~

We had this photoshoot thinggy in which we were required to wear traditional clothes. AND I, ended up becoming indian :] sort of.

It was a last minute event, so i borrowed Vnoo's (my indian friend lol lol) clothes. And my indian friendssS helped to indian-ise (indra's newly created word) the non-indians.

So part of it involved wearing *jeng jeng jeng jeng*

Moving on....

Last week, I went out with my college mates for a before-class-subway+movie-outing. As usual....we took many pictures, Did weird stuff and so on.

That's when JINGYI jumped up and said: I think i am a sorcerer! O.O

Over the weekend, i went to SK Taman SEA for their bacathon (a fund raiser) carnival. Guess what they had there?

Flying fox from the WINDOW of one the classes on the top floor! Sounds Freaky right? But my dad said it was okay because, they tie the thingy(whatever he was referring to o.O) to one of the classroom pillar ~~thingy~~. So apparently it is as strong as the building. ~~or the building would have collapsed by now~~

OH, you know what. I had another haircut, back at this shop, Snips in IOI mall. Yes the same one.

My first time there, was 6 months ago, when I went there and got my hair cut real short.
You see, the hairstylist speaks with this very "china slang" mandarin. And he, knows no other language but mandarin. So the conversations we had mainly involved him talking "kili kulu kili kulu" and i go like "harrr?" then he slows down his speech and go "kiiiiliiiii kuluuuu kiliiiii kuuulu". Basically, i only catch like two words in his whole sentence. With that, i sort of start joining the pieces together and that's when I go "ohhh".

ANYWAY...
Did i tell you how much i fear washing my hair after every hair cut i get? Not a joke. I really do. It's like you may be smiling when you walk out of the shop but once you wash your hair, you go like, "crap i feel conned"

So it's not like i am gonna show you everything :P but well, just to stick to my words that i will post a picture up...here goes:

Flip through your text books, and chances are, you will find at least one long, unfamiliar word that you have problems pronouncing or spelling.

You go on repeating it a few times more, and that word just stays in your head forever.

Do you remember studying biology in SPM, and half way through, your bio teacher tells you that you cannot use just the term DCPIP, but you should know it in full. So right before your exam paper, you probably repeated "dichlorophenolindophenol dichlorophenolindophenol dichlorophenolindophenol" so many times that it just got stuck in your head.

And when you get to a higher level, you tend to have new terms going into your head. For instance, important reagents like 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine in chemistry. Or when your bio lecturer make you remember glycolysis, link reaction, krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation all in a row. Trust me, it's just a whole chain of names that you have no choice but to memorise.

But somehow, you'd find some of them rather "syiok" to say.

And even when you don't have a reason not to study, you make yourself get distracted by almost everything.

The "Everything else" that you do, would seem extra interesting at this point.

Even watching a lame tv show that makes no sense, a game you have once played over and over again in your hp, refreshing your email inbox for new emails ~~although you know you have nearly a thousand unread~~ , playing your sister's kiddy game ~~and find it addictive.~~ Going to the kitchen to get a glass of water, going to the washroom for drinking too much water, going to the kitchen to get some ice cream, stare at the mirror, think that you might have put on some weight, don't bother but instead decide to bake a cake. Go back to staring at your book, doodling on your book, sign your name all over an unwanted paper, (what's worse) blogging about this and the list goes on.

SO ANYWAY,

I think I've been having a lot on my mind lately. I had this awesome dream two days back. It was right after my physics practical exam. It sort of connected quite many things.

I was in SS2. My parents were there, having lunch. *tick tock tick tock* That's when I looked at the clock, realizing it was 5 minutes before my exam. I was late for college! So my parents and I rushed into the car. To add to it, the traffic on LDP was bad!

Since Dreams must have weird stuff, KDU, sort of turned into a mall (To be precise, Billion). From the outside, it was a dark green building, exactly like the one in Penang many years back. Inside, it was just a really huge mall!

...

I arrived at ~~KDU~~ the mall 15 minutes late for the exam. I rushed in, and was looking for a chinese restaurant because apparently, that was where the practical exam is. Unfortunately, i had no idea what the name of the restaurant was or where exactly it is located in that mall. All i knew was, PHYSICS PRACTICAL IS IN A CHINESE RESTAURANT, so LOOK FOR IT!

30 minutes later, I was still lost. I only found two chinese restaurants on the ground level and those two were not the one i was looking for. I remember looking at the time, realizing i am 45 minutes late for the exam. I had no idea if they would still let me sit for it when I found the place. And even if i did sit for it, i would only be able to do half of it.

I finally saw an old friend, and apparently he too, was helping me look for the restaurant. I followed him up to the first floor, i had a strong feeling my restaurant was there.

...And that was when i woke up!! So whether i did get to sit for the exam or not, who knows.

But You have to admit, Physics practical in a chinese restaurant is kinda cool. ;P

March has not been exactly the best month for me. Working till late at night, sleep deprived. College from 8 to 5 is horrible. Wasting around 2 hours a day just because of travelling is also bad. Thinking of physics. Worrying about chemistry. Doing bio journals.

Do you see smoke coming out of my head already?

OH oh, that reminds me. I took a picture of this last month, on the highway. I remember always talking about Tanjung Rambutan, though never knowing where it actually is. So fun fact of the day: Tanjung Rambutan is in Perak. Hahah! And the hospital sign down there probably refers to our oh-so-famous Hospital Bahagia :D :D

My mum is in Bangkok right now. So I was left with the responsibility of driving my sister to school, and myself to college. Among the words my mum said before she left were:

"Drive safely. Don't drive too fast"

On a monday morning, being warned of the Extra Jam, I decided to get everyone leaving a little earlier. Shoo shoo, and we were out of the house like 10 minutes earlier than normal. The one thing i realised over the years was that the morning jam doubles up every minute. So, leaving 5 minutes earlier would get you to your destination 10 minutes earlier, while leaving 10 minutes earlier would get you there approx 20 minutes earlier.

We arrived and parked right in front of SK Taman SEA. Even then, it was only 7.00am sharp. It was still dark, like really really dark and the moon was still up. The funny thing is, for the past week or so, my sister had been arriving at school just in time before the bell rings, or *coughs* even after the bell rings. The earliest she claimed to have arrived in school was on a saturday replacement class(obviously because there's no jam), and that was 7.02am! Today, I arrived earlier and beat the record!

So my sister turned to me,

"eh, you win mummy..last time, she reach at 7.02! Today you arrive at 7.00! 2 minutes earlier than mummy eh."

she paused, and suddenly something striked:

"Horrr, I'm gonna tell mummy you drive TOO FAST"

And apparently that's what siblings are for.
Obviously, I went like whaaaaat did i do?
I mean like, look at this:

Anyway, as i waited for the moon to sleep and sun to wake up (some day and night explanation my sister came up with this morning while waiting for the bell to ring), i stood there observing some stuff.

Of course, first, i was staring at the 7am moon.

Then more and more people arrived. Until i noticed this big hoo-hah.
As you can see below, the students, teachers, parents, security guards started gathering around something.

It was actually just a big black dog.

But well, some were fascinated. Some were scared, and running. Some were kaypo-ing.

The parents were afraid the dog would bite their kid. They complained to the teacher. The teacher then asked the prefect to get the students to go back into their respective classes. The prefect turned to the kids and said:

"balik kelas, balik kelas. nanti anjing makan kau"

I went to one of the homes for disabled children in Taman Megah on Sunday-Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah.

There was something different about the place, it got me a little shocked when i arrived there. There were so many of them, young and old. They were all disabled in so many ways. Not like those you see on wheelchairs and all that. But mainly down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, speech, audio and visual impairments, all with physical and intellectual challenges.. You name it, you have it. And it's really really sad.

There was this girl, who claimed she was nine, i think she was the one of the only few ones who was able to communicate with us. She loved to sing, got us to sing all types of songs with her. From twinkle twinkle to songs like silent night, and chinese songs like tong hua.

Then there was a cute little boy, indian if i'm not mistaken. He was still a baby, one of the only few that looked normal. BIG eyes, super adorable. His dad, was in jail. His mum, left him there and vists occasionally. Unfortunately, we failed in our attempt to "kidnap" him home. ~~well at least we know he won't be tortured by the whole 3 mums idea~~

There was a woman, whom i could not tell of what age. She came, and she cried for sympathy. She was pointing at something, like something she was scared of. But i couldn't tell what she was trying to tell me. Occasionally, she would pause and clap her hands as the rest were singing, then the next minute, she'd be holding on to you and crying again.

While I also saw this one boy tied to one of the house pillar, Some of them couldn't walk, or even sit on their own. Worst still, they require tubes during feeding,

There were so many.

The stories for each of them are different.

But the next time you want to complain about life, think again.

Hello abandoned blog :)

SO, It's a new year. A new number in which we can write dates and just suddenly go:

"craaap.. i wrote 2009 again"

what a waste of correction tape, don't you think?

Well, if you ask me, I'd say I hated the way I started 2010. I was spending my new year with my bio past year book. And having exams on the first week of the year. It was terrible. Pathetic. So let's not even mention it.

2009 wasn't the BEST but I did learn some things throughout the year.

-I realised that many people tend to want things in which they don't have. In particularly something they lose or can't have. In 2010, I shall appreciate more, the things and people around me.
.

-I learnt that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Just like developing resistance. I will learn from my mistakes.

-We only have ONE chance in life. If you miss that second, it's gone and it will never return. Appreciate chances.

Three things to carry forward to 2010. I'm officially 18, in fact, i'm turning 19 this year though it's still like 11 months away. And all of you out there, you guys are becoming a year older too. Deny all you like,YOU are still turning old :P

It feels like it all just happened:

My post on welcoming 2009, then taking my driving lessons, working at 1901, rotting at home, stalking, starting college, first term test, december holidays and *poof* here we are today.

Time really flies. I'd like to freeze time and just enjoy the moment. I see a really tough year ahead of me, with AS and A2 coming. Funny part is that, One year ago, i was shaking legs at home, replying friendster comments, what happened? It's not the same anymore.

Despite it all, I AM GONNA MAKE 2010 as enjoyable as possible.

Originally, i insisted:

"I have never been to Port Dickson"

My mum on the other hand, insisted i have been there..

"Got lahh..We were staying in the TNB bungalow. And i remember you even have the picture with the two boys, Chi Lun and Teck Chun. Three of you sitting there together."

and she said something about the boy in the picture being shirtless and yada yada.

All i could give was the i-don't-remember-it existed look. So we searched and we searched and we searched, to prove her point. And finally: AHA!

though i do look pretty retarded in that picture lol lol.

The thing is, this album was dated MAY 95! How was I supposed to remember when I was only *Erm, starts counting backwards* ~~four~~ three and a half? Thus, i forgive myself for not remembering :)

So after 14 long years, we decided to take a trip back to PD!

DEC 11 - DEC 13 2009

Thanks to me, who suggested we all go visit the Cape Rachado Lighthouse, We all had to hike up this mini hill (It was good exercise). Not even half way there, we were like pushing ourselves already, "Quick quick the sun is setting". And While we on the way up, those ~~kind~~ people coming down told us "haiyo jauh lagi laa". By the time we reached lighthouse, some of us *coughsahermcoughs* looked like lobsters. But it was pretty, and AND the sun was setting around that time. :D

The following day, (thanks to my brilliant suggestion again) we went to this mini extreme park. And see see what we did there:

And it is a double seater go-kart. I know, how often do you see that right? Also, JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION, my sister there, did not fly out of her seat while i was driving. I'm a good driver afterall :DDD

And this was her, explaining her experience and how her sister's driving was. LOL

Then, we also visited this temple (in which i do not know the name since it was all written in chinese). They had this mini great wall of china.

Outdoor Broga Adventure Camp (OUTBAC)
5th & 6th December 2009

We got to do activities like Wall Climbing, Flying Fox, Kayaking, Mountain biking, and some Water activities. Had BBQ and a campfire where we shared stories and learnt some stuff from each other. We stayed up all night, playing games like taboo, mafia, ice and fire (Vnoo's idea), heart attack and many more. Although we didn't manage to hike up to Broga hill for the sunrise (due to the rain), we took a long walk out to the fruit farm and back.

All in all, Broga was awesome.

Hello December,

With the year ending, and Christmas coming, everyone says it's good to do something for charity!

Whether it is in terms of donating cash, food or other necessities, contributing your strength or labour. In fact, maybe just some of your time. What have you done this year for charity?

Help Raise funds for the Kestana Typhoon victims:

We had various activities in the field. Because we outnumbered the kids, we ended up playing among ourselves equally as much.

Among the activities: Trust circle.
Mr Jaya once made us do it in his class. Basically, trusting your friends to catch u when u fall.This time, we got him to trust us.

Today we had to collect the book in which we sent for photostating.

This time only me , Vnoo and Ying Jee went.

Once again, we were walking out in the sun, all happy for lunch when suddenly Vnoo said:

"EH wait, the receipt for the book is with JingYi lahh"

Once again that Monkey face as you can see in the post below popped out.

"HUH?"

"Whaaaat?? Are you serious?"

"yarr"

"Nooooooooooo!"

We all looked around. We were already in front of the shoplots. College was way behind.

"OK OK! Nevermind, relax! Lets just go try our luck, ok? We shall PRETEND we have the receipt, And if she really asks for it, we go OOPS *grins* "

And that was how we finally got the Physics book.

A week in november

It all started when Vnoo wanted to photostat our Physics book when i suddenly took the opportunity and said,

"Eh, Lets go together!"

It managed to drag us out of college for lunch (in fact, twice actually).

So the first time there, we were like small kids, a lil excited.

Walking to the shops, I think Kelly almost melted HAHAH. She was trying to avoid the sun as much as she could. Zig zag here and there, trying to find those shaded spots as we walk.

I guess we were all so excited till none of us really paid attention because

the best part came when we were finally in front of the row of shops. That's when Vnoo suddenly told us

she FORGOT THE BOOK!

Which probably made me look like this for a couple of seconds:

And I couldn't help but laugh.

I still think it was Vnoo's evil plan afterall, giving us another excuse to eat out. Or else, how would we know the economy rice uncle, and the chicken rice uncle, right? Connections are important, since we had this seduction plan so that JingYi can save MORE money on food. LOL!

The rest of the week, was spent working, REALLY HARD for my scholarship!

I started last Thursday and I have completed about 13 hours already.

I'm SO HARDWORKING

It's pretty fun actually, working at the computer lab.

You don't need to do much except entertain whoever that has problems. Though, I spent most of my time there doing nothing, sometimes stoning, talking, complaining and OH, fighting for the chair with E-Man (though that was really lame). Which was Just because, I wanted to sit on that spinning office chair (which btw, is 10 times more comfortable than the plastic chair okAY, ~~besides the fact that i can spin~~).

Today being the 20th,

Most people are on holidays already.

It was a cold day.

I wasn't feeling so well today, after college.

[Come to think of it, maybe because A&B tortured me]

So after a headache which lead to a bloated tummy (due to the water consumed to swallow a panadol), i took a HOT shower. When i say HOT, i really mean hot! It is the type of heat that any hotter would burn your skin. It is also the heat in which the moment you turn off the water, you can feel the extreme coldness of the air and you see your goose pimples.

Uh-huh.

But it was good. Seriously.

Life is about how much attention you pay to the small details.

The TV was on. Channel being MTV.
The song playing at that particular moment was Beyonce's Sweet Dreams.
Suddenly, my 6 year-old sister asked :

"How come when the girls dance, they must touch their breast?"

It took me a second to process the question, making sure i heard the right thing. I looked up.

"Where? Who?"

"the girl"

They did not repeat the move.

"where got?"

"Got!!! You missed it."

Today, i went on youtube and i watched the mv. Yes, she did touch her boobs. LOL! I would have captured a screen shot and posted it up, but then i decided not to afterall. I just thought, I did not want to look like a sicko with such pictures on my blog. XP

Come to think of it, Maybe i should have answered differently to her question,

"she was afraid it would drop, she was checking if it's still there after all the shaking"

Tsk tsk.

But it is pretty cool huh, to know what certain people pay more attention to, how some people can see things you don't.

Marian called me, she was on the bus, heading back home.

She asked me where i was. I said SS2.

So we decided to meet up at McD!

I grabbed my stuff and was ready to walk there when...

I couldn't open the door.

LOL

I tried and tried for a while. You see, i somehow always had this cacated key for that particular lock, so i thought it was normal. (It usually works after a few tries with a particular skill)

But this time, i just couldn't open the door at all! :(

After 5-10 minutes of trying, i decided to text Marian,

"Eh, wait arr.. i can't open my door. LOL"

Then i tried again.

Once, twice, again and again.

I gave up.

So i took my keys and sat down.

I decided: maybe i should blow my keys.

(dumb move)

I stared at it for a while.

and

THAT was when it HIT me!

Damn! Those were my PUCHONG house keys, not the SS2 one!

These were the plushies being sold last Wednesday. And I curi-curi took a picture. No wait, i OPENLY took a picture! (tak malu pun) XD

The Leo Club of KDU College PJ is raising funds for the Kestana Typhoon victims! Last Wednesday, we (mostly the bunch of A-level students) helped to sell the ice blended drinks at the concourse area. At the same time, the plushies were sold (in fact, i think it is still on sale). Just so you know, we're not making any profit from this, all profits go straight to the typhoon victims.

We did not manage to open our booth again yesterday(wednesday), and i don't know if we still are next week. HOWEVER, if i'm not mistaken, ying jee is still selling those plushies on her blog! :)

I sound like i'm promoting already. haha

Anyway,

Tomorrow is Friday again.

I shall go mentally prepare myself tor tomorrow's ~~torture~~ chemistry class now! whee, sounds so exciting :)

We went to the Parliament today, it was an excursion organised by our MS lecturer.

And today, I realised, how kia si our government can be.

No handphones, cameras, mp3, mp4. (basically no electronic devices at all)..Then no big bags, no food in the dewan rakyat, and EVERYTHING must be scanned first. national security!

We waited for quite some time just to get in. The fierce security lady outside just kept shushing us, i think she was rather annoyed.. Whereas the other lazy security guy inside, was nicely sitting on his chair and got caught digging his nose (according to yj). LOL! There was this tinted glass, and i think he probably didn't realise we were able to see him through it.

The parliament was in session today, so we got to watch for about an hour. Honestly speaking, It was rather boring haha! Many of them talked so monotonously, and mumbling stuff i could hardly catch. The only exciting parts were when we saw the ministers disagreeing, in which they started banging the tables, and opposition parties shouting "oi !!" here and there. Ada action sikit lerr at least for one minute. =)
The rest of them were just minding their own bussiness, reading, some chit chatting, some were playing with their handphones under the table(not fair right, just because the menteri can bring in phones when we can't), and apparently, *jeng jeng jeng* some were even facebooking! uh huh.. WHEREAS, The audience pula, some were falling asleep, some were already nicely sleeping, many of them daydreaming, while a few paid a lot of attention. If only they allowed a camera....

Later we went to One Utama for lunch, where around 60 students in formal wear were released into the mall. I remember ~~staring~~ looking at those ppl who go around the mall in big groups wearing similar clothings, now i know how it feels like to be stared at. haha! karma..

The term test was last month, and we basically got back all our papers and results already. Parent-teacher meeting is gonna be on saturday! I actually thought those RKA days would have ended after secondary. Anyway, i won't be going for it this time. *coughs* It's not because i didn't do good, btw. HAHA..
Though i'm so curious on what Mr.G has to say to parents. Maybe: "hmmm.. your daughter/son is rather cuckoo" tsk tsk.

Lately I've been hard to reach..
I've been doing a lot lately, really busy, really had a lot to do, sleep deprived. i'm glad it's over!

Yesterday, when i finally had the time to sit down and reflect back on everything, i realised, it's been at least 7 weeks since it all started. Since the week before my term exam till now, all i have been doing was to catch up with assignments, deadlines and tests.

On the way back from college yesterday, yj's mum looked at me, saying i look pale and tired. It's basically a better manner of saying, "you look terrible".
Besides the fact that it is "the worse time of the month", i was really really exhausted after ms.

For the past few weeks, it was bio journal, bio journal and bio journal..Until the end of last week when i finally completed my journal up to the chapter on the heart. I can basically chant it out now, the fAv mantra:
"Atria systole, ventricle diastole. Ventricle systole, atrial diastole. atrial ventricular diastole" XD

Oh and we also had this malaysian studies presentation. I tell you, we had the worst topic ever! 4 science students and 1 pre-law student trying to understand our country's economy. I'm one of the last person you should find when you want to talk about our economy:

"eyh, what's our presentation topic again?"

" The 1998 economic crisis in Malaysia :D"

"1998?"

"yeahh..."

"ohh, i didn't know we had an economic crisis in 1998"

"hahah me neither!! high 5! "

You would be amused we actually got through the presentation.

Then i had my physics test on wednesday, and my malaysian studies exam yesterday, all which caused me so much pimples lol. I'm so glad malaysian studies is over.. it's the End of the torture for now. And so last night, i managed to sleep EARLY and got about 11 hours of payback sleep, which makes me really happy right now :D

Oh, and many weeks ago as well, we went batting!! I just finally got the chance to transfer most of my photos over.

I also have a VIDEO of YJ batting, tsk tsk.. It was quite fun except, for the bruises part. and On the next day, the after effect was awesome. I could feel my whole arm hurting and we could not hold a pen right. Especially the first class on monday: Stats - where miss tee tends to go quite fast, and we have problems holding the pen, really cool :)
